Welcome to Sew Lovely Jubbly, a brand new custom designed retreat and class space in Ferndown, just doors away from your favourite fabric shop, Lovely Jubbly Fabrics.
Join us for 2.5 days of stitching fun at one of our weekend retreats.
Bag Making Retreat - Bring your bag projects for a weekend of bag making fun!
The space:
Choose from one of our 14 allocated deluxe workstations complete with desktop shelving, adjustable work light, protective desk mat, cutting mat and mini shelf system on wheels and an ergonomic chair. Plus, a goodie bag!
We provide separate storage for your sewing machine bag / box, a fridge with a dedicated space for each guest, a storage cubby for your extra supplies, large cutting table and ironing station.
Choose your workstation:
Our 14 workstations have allocated seating. Check the workstation map in the product photos and select your seat when booking. We have a "Lovely" group of 6 spaces, and a "Jubbly" group of 8 spaces, all numbered to correspond to the seat plan.
The retreat theme: Bag Making
This is a bag making retreat. Bring your prepared bag projects.
- Communal space is limited. We politely request you to prepare / cut your projects in advance as the cutting space is communal. There is not space for cutting and preparing large projects.
- No spray adhesives will be permitted for use on site.
- No open containers for drinks will be permitted in the space.
Enjoy time with like-minded sewists in our dedicated luxury retreat space. We also provide time to shop at Lovely Jubbly Fabrics each day.
All of our events are non-residential.
We do not provide meals / accommodation.
This will be hosted at Arena Business Centre in Ferndown, Dorset, where Sew Lovely Jubbly and Lovely Jubbly Fabrics are located.
Weekend Schedule:
- Friday 30th January: 1pm - 10pm
- Swap 2pm - 2.30pm.
- Shop Open 4pm - 5pm.
We have no additional scheduled events so you can leave to check in to your hotel, get dinner, and come back for more sewing. - Saturday 31st January: 10am - 11pm - Bring packed lunch
- Shop Open 4pm - 5pm.
- We arrange a group dinner at The Old Thatch or The Angel pub 6pm (not included in the price - you will be responsible for paying for your meal).
- 8pm - Show and Tell - Sunday 1st February: 10am - 6pm - Bring packed lunch
- Shop Open 4pm - 5pm.
You will need to bring:
- Please bring your own packed lunch for each day. We will arrange an evening meal for Saturday at a local pub - you will be responsible for paying for your meal at the pub. You will need to book accommodation locally if an overnight stay/s is required.
- Your sewing machine, tools and supplies and prepared projects.
- Swap gift (if you have opted to participate).
- Items for show and tell - we strongly recommend you take part.
- Sealed container/s for your beverages.
There are tea and coffee making facilities on site and we will provide snacks - please advise if you have any allergies that will affect our snack provision.
Swap:
We will be hosting a small anonymous swap at each event. This is an amazing icebreaker to open the event and a fun mini project to work on. It will be either a fabric postcard or small hanging decoration. I really encourage you to participate.

Please provide full details of any allergies so we can ensure our snacks on site are suitable for all attendees.
Terms & Conditions:
We have invested a lot of money making this space special for our guests. We ask that you take care of your allocated workstation and communal spaces. Damage and breakages caused to workstations including but not limited to damage to the desktop, chair and shelving storage systems will result in a set £100 damage charge which is the responsibility of the guest and will be invoiced. We have provided a protective mat for your sewing machine as well as a cutting mat at each workstation.
Cancellations:
Deposit is non-refundable. By booking to join the retreat you are committing to pay the full cost of the event.
Cancellations made on or after October 1st 2025 and on or before October 31st 2025 will be refunded 50% amount paid to date of cancellation minus deposit value of £49.50.
Cancellations made on or after 1st November 2025 and on or before 30th November 2025 will be refunded 30% amount paid to date of cancellation minus deposit value of £49.50.
Cancellations made on or after 1st December 2025 will not be eligible for a refund under any circumstances.
